　　记得小小的阿尔卑斯山少女海蒂么？秀兰·邓波尔演过一部黑白的；宫崎峻也参与制作过一部海蒂的动画片。
　　这部Courage Mountain讲述的是海蒂进入青涩年纪后的故事。她被送到一个女子学校学习礼仪。其他的女孩子穿着精致的蕾丝裙子，头发做成漂亮的卷卷，在她们眼里，海蒂是粗俗的山里孩子。
　　学校生活并没有持续多久，一战就爆发了。女子学校被征用作军队指挥部，女孩子们被送进一个肮脏的孤儿院。那个孤儿院简直和《雾都孤儿》里的有一拼。海蒂大胆上去对孤儿院院长说：我们不是孤儿，我们要回家。马上被撤走了午饭。
　　这个孤儿院其实做着贩卖儿童的生意。海蒂发现从下水道可以逃走，就带着女子学校的几个同学和孤儿院新认识的几个朋友逃走了。孤儿院院长一路追踪他们到阿尔卑斯山上。海蒂的玩伴，牧羊少年皮特（扮演者是Scary Movie 3里面的倒霉爸爸）及时赶到，与院长展开搏斗。
